This policy explains what we collect when you use mixingandmastering.ai, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We collect what we need to run your jobs and the business behind them, and not more.
1. Who we are
mixingandmastering.ai is operated by Audio Mixing Mastering B.V., a company registered in the Netherlands, which is the data controller for the information described here. Contact us at help@mixingandmastering.ai.
2. What we collect
- Account details. Your name, email address and password. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. We do not receive your Google password, and Google does not give us your phone number.
- Your audio and your instructions. The files you upload and the notes you write about how you want them to sound.
- Payment details. Handled by Stripe. We receive a record that a payment succeeded, along with the last four digits and card brand. We never see or store your full card number.
- Support messages. What you send us in the chat widget or by email, so we can answer you.
- Technical and usage data. Basic information such as device type, browser, pages viewed and errors, to keep the site working and secure.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
- To run your jobs, deliver results and keep your library available. This is performance of our contract with you.
- To take payment, prevent fraud and meet our tax and accounting obligations. This is our legal obligation and our legitimate interest.
- To answer your support messages. Contract and legitimate interest.
- To keep the service secure, diagnose faults and improve how it works. Legitimate interest.
- To send occasional product emails, but only if you opt in. Consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Your audio files
Your music is yours, and uploading it gives us no ownership of it.
We do not use customer projects to train the engine. Neural training reads only our own licensed catalogue. Your song is used to run the job you asked for, and for nothing else.
We keep your audio in active storage for 30 days so you can download it, re-render it and ask for revisions, and then it is removed. Download anything you want to keep. We are not a backup service.
We do not sell your files and we do not share them, other than with the infrastructure providers listed below that store and process them on our behalf.
5. Who we share information with
We share only what is needed, and only with providers who process it on our behalf under their own security and confidentiality obligations:
- Stripe for payments.
- Google if you choose to sign in with Google.
- Our hosting and storage provider, which runs the servers that hold your account and audio.
- Our email provider, for account and transactional email.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
6. Where your data is held
Our servers are in the European Union. Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by standard contractual clauses.
7. How long we keep it
- Audio files: 30 days in active storage.
- Account and job history: while your account is open, and then as needed to settle anything outstanding.
- Invoices and payment records: seven years, because Dutch tax law requires it.
- Support messages: up to two years.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. You can withdraw consent to marketing at any time, and every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
Write to help@mixingandmastering.ai and we will answer within one month. You can close your account at any time, which deletes your files and your library. If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the regulator where you live.
9. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences and keep the site secure. These are necessary for the site to work. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site will stop working if you block the necessary ones.
10. Children
The service is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are stored hashed, and access to production systems is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect: if a breach affects your data and presents a risk to you, we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If a change matters to you, we will tell you before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
